Dogs are a part of the family. They inspire artists for many reasons. At least 16 ArtPrize entries feature dogs in 2015.

See where to find them.

SteamPig, animals sculpted from nails, even Nessie. Animals have always connected with ArtPrize fans, having often taken home money from the Public Vote.

ArtPrize's most famous dog, Ritch Branstrom's "Rusty: A sense of direction/self portrait of the artist", took fifth place in the Public Vote in 2011. The entry won $7,000.

This year's ArtPrize entries with dogs include paintings, ceramic work, photos, sculptures and more. The themes covered are even more diverse. Artists address the role of dogs in war, the bond shared between a dog owner and their rescue dog, and even a painting of a bulldog in a tutu.

There's something for dog lovers of all ages at ArtPrize.
