The film appears to be propaganda supporting the Great Works Program during the Depression. It shows the building of roads and airports to reinforce the state's infrastructure.

The film features footage from many different locales, stretching from the Copper Country of the Upper Peninsula, down to Adrian at the Ohio border.  West Michigan is represented by flag makers in Grand Rapids and a new water filtration plant in Big Rapids.

Highlights include kids going insane over a new pool at 3:45. (I've never seen anyone that excited over water) and a bit about the State Police at 4:39 that includes a mock crime chase where the criminals are from Indiana (of course).

The film also pronounces scenic as sen-ik (is that a thing?) and refers to the Upper Peninsula as the Northern Peninsula.
