Steven Tyler is one of the many stars who’ll turn up in a Super Bowl commercial Sunday and his ad has already hit the web.

Tyler is featured in a spot for Skittles, where he challenges his Skittles portrait to a singing battle, imploring his candy doppelganger to hit the high notes. Obviously the candy crooner can't hang and falls to pieces.

The spot continues the brand's 'Taste the Rainbow' slogan, but is the first time the candy has used a celebrity in one of its ads.

According to a feature in the Chicago Tribune, the initial thought was for just a regular Joe to be smitten by his Skittle portrait, but then the ad agency began kicking around the idea of using a celebrity.

When Tyler agreed to do it, they brought him in and shot the ad in October. It was filmed at a rented mansion in Nashville where Tyler now resides. An actual Tyler Skittles portrait did exist, but it was mainly CGI by the final product.
