A Look at the Old Brick Road Underneath Cascade

A few months back I drove on Cascade through some heavy traffic while they were ripping up the old road to make the new. It's all part of the new cascade @ 96 intersection. Anyway, I was a bit surprised to see brick underneath the concrete.

I talked to my buddy, who is my go to for all things Grand Rapids. He told me once upon a time Cascade was the major thoroughfare through town, so it makes sense that it would have brick road even as far "out of town" as Cascade at 96.

This video has been sitting on my desktop for a couple of months. It's not what you would call super compelling. I mean it doesn't even have a single animal doing something silly in it.
