A film student with a brand new camcorder captured nine minutes of life at a late night 7-Eleven in 1987. It will make you recall a simpler time before cell phones when we talked into rear view mirrors (?) and guzzled Slurpees.

The video caught fire after the person who recorded it uploaded it to YouTube. It shows life in 1987 in an unaffected way that is both charming and annoying at once.

Workers from Disney World in Orlando, FL make their way home from the bar and parties stop by for Slurpees, Big Gulps and toothpaste. Why toothpaste. It's unclear why it was in demand at 2:30am, so you'll have to draw your own conclusions.

The genesis of the video gaining viral speed is discussed by the film's creator here. He also notes attempts at finding all the people in the video, which he has since concluded may be impossible.

If, like me, you ever spent time as a late night 7-Eleven clerk, you'll enjoy this even more, but the rest of you will remember the bad hair cuts, popped collars and general care free era of being 24 and grabbing late night grub at a convenience store.
