AC/DC’s Brian Johnson: Band Is ‘Likely’ To Tour
In a new post on his racing website, Johnson thanks his fans for their support of his show ‘Cars That Rock,’ admitting “…even though it may not show, I was real nervous and so am very relieved that you all seem to be enjoying it.”
He mentions that he hopes to shoot more ‘Cars That Rock’ episodes in the future but that “There is the slight distraction of my day job with AC/DC – and it looks very likely that we will be on the road again before the end of the year.”
Johnson’s post, as casual as it might have been, is the most definitive statement from anyone in the AC/DC camp as to the group’s future plans. Although it has been reported known the group has been working with producer Brendan O’Brien recording the follow-up to 2008′s ‘Black Ice’ in a Vancouver studio, few other details have been divulged.
This past April, the group confirmed that guitarist Malcolm Young was “ill” and taking a break from the band. As to the nature of Young’s illness and potential treatment, details have been kept out of the news. Whether Young will make his return to the band prior to them going on tour is completely unknown at this point.
