Another day - another Halloween Candy Poll! Sure Halloween is about ghosts, and witches and dressing up, but let’s be honest, the best thing about the holiday is the candy. So, what treats would most people prefer to get this weekend? Well, that’s a dumb question, chocolate of course.

According to a new poll conducted by the Huffington Post, chocolate is by far the favorite Halloween goodie, with 63% of those asked wanting chocolate for Halloween. Coming in second was no candy at all (15%), followed by fruity candies (8%), sour candy (6%), and real fruit (4%). Real fruit? Um, that's not candy.

As for specifically what chocolate they want in their goodie bags (or we assume their child’s goodie bags since this was a poll of adults),  the overwhelming favorite is Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, which nabbed 25% of the vote, followed by Snickers (17%), Kit-Kats (8%) and Twix (6%).

Meanwhile, candy corn may be a Halloween staple, but that doesn’t mean people actually like it. While 28% of people said they loved candy corn, 20% hated it. But regardless, when asked what Halloween candy they didn’t want to get on Saturday, 18% chose candy corn. Other choices included gum (17%), hard candy (11%) and Good & Plenty (11%).

Do you like candy corn? Are you one of the few people you know who actually eats it?

What is your favorite Halloween candy? Do you buy it for trick or treaters or are you worried you’ll eat it all before they get there?
