A surprise sentimental nomination tops the list of this year's nominees for the Grammy Awards, which will be handed out in February.

Taylor Swift and The Weeknd headline the list of nominees for the 58th annual Grammy Awards.  Swift is up for three of the big four awards including Album of the Year for 1989.

But it was a surprise nomination in the Country category that has everyone talking.

The surprise nominee popped up in the category of Best Country Performance by a Group or Duo, where Joey and Rory's take on the classic "If I Needed You" garnered a nomination, despite not getting any radio airplay, no press, and no critical acclaim.

The song, which was recorded by the real life couple as a love letter to their young daughter, came as Joey entered Hospice care as she battles cervical cancer. Check it out below.

The winners will be announced on the CBS broadcast of The Grammys on February 15th.
