For the second time in as many days, a wrong-way driver has caused an accident, this time WOODTV is reporting a head-on collision at the intersections of Leonard and Fuller.

The accident according to police happened at 11:17 am Monday morning sending both drivers to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the vehicle going the wrong way, had to be cut out of his vehicle.

Police told WOODTV the accident happened after a driver began driving his pickup southbound in the northbound lanes of Fuller Ave as he approached Leonard St.  That’s when he met another driver, a 75-year-old man in a SUV, hitting him head-on.

WOODTV says the intersection was shut down for a period Monday afternoon as police investigated the accident scene.
