People say fine art degrees aren't worth the paper they are printed on because you will have a hard time finding a job.

I'm lucky to say I get paid to do what I love. I work in a entertainment business. Honestly radio is a bit closer to theatre than say painting or music. You COULD make a case that now-a-days it's a cross between theatre and journalism but to call the stuff I put on the website 'journalism' would be a grand insult to actual journalists.

What would society be without art? Pretty boring if you ask me. If I'm feeling down, I listen to some upbeat music. If I want to be inspired, look at great works of art. If I'd like to escape my reality, theatre.

Anyway, props to Aquinas for their fine arts program. Hopefully their students will find their passions and (like myself) find monetary success.
