Here comes another cool Michigan Festival! In advance of National "Talk Like a Pirate Day" (September 19th this year in case you wondered), here comes The Michigan Pirate Festival in Grand Haven!
Really..how could you make this up!

The Michigan Pirate Festival runs Monday, August 8 through Sunday, August 14. Monday through Friday there is a long list of events taking place at the Loutit District Library, including a children’s event every day at 1:00. On Saturday and Sunday there’s much more as the festival moves to Central Park next to the library in Grand Haven. There’s face painting, story time, games, a costume contest, and more for the kids. There’s plenty for adults too.

There's more here, at the home of the Brethren of the Great Lakes. This is the 5th annual event, which makes me wonder where was I for the first 4?
