Art Garfunkel and former partner Paul Simon have always had an acrimonious relationship, and in a scathing new interview, Art is opening up about just how bad it IS.

Yup - recent niceties aside, it appears that there no so much love happening. While Art says he’d be more than happy to tour again with Paul, he explains they’re not together because that’s the way Paul wants it. In the interview with The Telegraph, Art addresses his former partner, directly, saying, "How can you walk away from this lucky place on top of the world, Paul? What's going on with you, you idiot? How could you let that go, jerk?"

Garfield said he befriended Simon when they were school kids because he felt sorry for him because he was so short, noting, "that compensation gesture has created a monster.” When asked if Simon had a Napoleon complex, Garfunkel replied, “I think you're on to something. I would say so, yes."

Garfield also recounted a time he met Beatle George Harrison at party, who compared Simon to Paul McCartney. Art said George told him, “my Paul is to me what your Paul is to you.” “He meant that psychologically they had the same effect on us," Art added. "The Pauls sidelined us. I think George felt suppressed by Paul and I think that's what he saw with me and my Paul. Here's the truth: McCartney was a helluva music man who gave the band its energy, but he also ran away with a lot of the glory."
