4 weeks ago It's possible they have ran out of ideas in Hollywood. Not only have they rehashed movie after movie and idea after idea, now they are remaking old TV shows into movies. That sentence makes it sound like they haven't been doing that for years. NOW they are taking shows that really were not all that successful and making them into movies. "Good Times" is an example.

A sign that said four words. Four words that the Mayor may never live down. Four words that may get him re-elected eight more times.
4 weeks ago The Great Flood of '13 is on everyone's mind. Luckily there really hasn't been much trouble with that. Sure there will be some damage, but that's just stuff. As far as we know, no one's been killed or anything. So I was downtown and took some pictures of the flood. Enjoy.

5 weeks ago Tom Cook, from our sister station 100.5 The River, posted on his Facebook Page a couple of nights ago about swing dancing returning for the spring/summer to Rosa Parks Circle. "I love this city" was Tom's exclaim. I love this city too, but another reason.

April 17, 2013 Flooding in Michigan Rivers, including the Grand River through Grand Rapids, is expected to get get worse in the next 72 hours. One to three inches of new rain is expected to send flood stages well above normal levels by the weekend. The area has already experienced above average rainfall totals, combined with average winter snowfall totals, swelling the Grand in many places.

April 15, 2013 Matt Hendricks and I were talking about this the a couple of weeks ago. TV shows and where they take place. Some are easy. Friends was in New York. Cheers in Boston. Home Improvement in Detroit. We were wondering why West Michigan (and Grand Rapids in particular) was not featured on a TV show. Of course the American Pie movies were based in East Grand Rapids, but it wasn't called that. That might be changing soon, at least the West Michigan part.
