Hi, It’s Craig Russell, host of The Afternoon Hustle here on Classic Hits 98.7 WFGR! I have worked in places all over Michigan, but that’s not important. I’m here in West Michigan now, eatin' Fred's Pizza (yum!) buying my milk at Meijer, and playing Classic Hits of the 60's 70's and 80's FOR YOU! Call, email or Facebook the show and be part of the fun!

Meijer 12 Days of Giveaways – Fisher Price Cook and Serve Kitchen and Table
How would Christmas morning be with your little one opening up the Fisher Price Cook and Serve Kitchen and Table!
Little people like to pretend they are big people and the ability to kick off anything from a tea party to making a pizza can happen with the Cook and Serve Kitchen and table...
Attack of the Killer Cat
This video is kind of leading the charge this morning as far as social media.
Have a look at this cat, who started off annoying a dog, at which point the house frau came out to shoo off the cat by kicking snow at it, to which the cat answered with a facial attack...
Power Wheels Demo Derby
The Smithville Fair is loved by everyone within a 50 mile radius. They have all you have come to expect from the fair.....corn dogs, cotton candy, a beer tent on Friday night, heck...they even have Three Dog Night doing a show sponsored by the local Farm Store...
Pure Michigan Spoof – Winter Virgins
The funny spoof Pure Michigan ads are pure genius.
The guy who does them -- there are almost 70 now -- is really clever.
Sure, he doesn't sound all that much like Tim Allen. But he has the music and he knows Michiganders. He really has a grasp of what makes us funny as a state.
Craig’s Pic Of The Day No. 16
Many of you might know I do some work for the Grand Rapids Griffins' minor-league hockey club. I'm the guy who plays the music during the game. So, when you hear "Free Ride" on Friday nights talking about The Rapid's free ticket ride promotion or hear "Everybody Clap your Hands" or the "Whoo Hoo" song, that's me.
When I'm at the games, I sit in the Van Andel Arena boo
I Will Get Seriously Fat This Holiday If …
... I visit my friend Jason's cupcake store.
I have shared stories about Jason Kakababker and his cupcake store, The Cakeabakery.
He was on "Cupcake Wars" on The Food Network. Then, he moved out of his dining room into a new Grand Rapids store in Eastown.
I'm friends with him on Facebook; he's a smart guy.
WFGR Retrovision: Creepy Taco Bell Santa Claus
Before Taco Bell was a big national chain player, it was a small regional Mexican fast-food joint.
Back then, it has a much smaller advertising budget. And after watching this creepy commercial from the '70s, you can see what I mean.
Craig’s Picture Of The Day #15
Welcome to the new week! And with a new week and only nine days til Christmas, here's a shot from this weekend outside of Van Andel Arena. Ho Ho Ho! Merry Christmas! It's pretty sizeable and pretty this time of year!
Craig’s Picture Of The Day No. 14
The talk around the office a couple of days ago was: "Should single guys have Christmas trees?"
My answer was: "Of course!"
Since I have children, it makes more sense. And with my birthday just before the holiday, I have a valid excuse. Plus, I love this time of year.
WFGR Retrovision: Classic Black-And-White TV Stars In Living Color
Back in the days before everyone had a 73-inch high-definition flat-screen LED TV, people crowded around little 13-inch wooden boxes in neighborhood living rooms watching Sid Caesar, Jack Benny, Milton Berle and Lucille Ball in glorious black and white.
Those people have all passed away, and so has black-and-white TV.
Craig’s Picture of the Day No. 13
The headline says: Craig's Picture of the Day No. 13. Actually, it's my first one.
But like they do with new checks at the bank, I'm starting with today's date: The 13th.
So, here's today's Craig's Picture Of The Day.
It was taken on my ride to Kentwood on Thursday night, on Cascade Road, with about 2,300 other people while going 2 miles per hour.
New York Yankees’ Derek Jeter Visits Kalamazoo to Reward Deserving Kids
I grew up in the Kalamazoo area and played ball until my sophomore year of high school.
I, ahem, blew out my knee and couldn't run anymore. That's it. Just as I was graduating, I heard about this kid playing American Legion ball named Jeter. Was gonna be a big leaguer some day. While I Heard that a lot, I didn't think anything of it.
