Jojo Girard

A Saginaw native, Girard formerly did mornings in San Diego; was morning host on WSNX, Sunny 104, from 1988 to 1994; and spent 18 years in mornings at Mix 106.5 in Baltimore. Most recently, he was program director in Columbia, Md., for Howard Community College’s online radio station The Dragon. He is a Central Michigan University graduate.

‘Roll Cloud’ Rolls In Over Lake Michigan [Video]

Saturday was a humid day throughout the state, and late in the day it cooled off dramatically. This is usually the result of a thunderstorm, but sometimes before the storm front hits, the cooling will cause arcus or 'roll' clouds to form. They don't happen often, but when they do, it's pretty cool.

Tuesday at Joe Louis Arena in downtown Detroit, Mr. Hockey, Gordie Howe, will lie in state. Howe played until he was 54 years old, which is something I don't believe anyone will ever do in ANY sport, let alone one of the toughest.
