I Grew up Petoskey Michigan... and for the last 13 years - have made Grand Rapids my home. I love it here, and  the people are great too. I started in Radio as as a teenager, and going on my 14th year in radio in West Michigan!   I've lived in all four "Quadrants" of Grand Rapids, but now reside on the West Side with my Dog, two cats, 13 pinball machines and my grand piano.  Love hockey, football, auto racing, playing the piano, singing, live music, theater and being outdoors - and love exploring West Michigan and new places.    I'm THRILLED to be on Classic Hits 98-7 from 10-3 Every day.   Drop me a line anytime!

In the early 1980s, Hardcastle played the keyboards on several singles on the Oval record label by the dance music groups Direct Drive and First Light, before going solo.He achieved some acclaim for his early singles, notably in 1984, the electro-funk/freestyle/instrumental track, "Rain Forest", which along with the track, "Sound Chaser" hit number two on the dance chart. "Rain Forest" also hit number five on the soul chart and number fifty-seven on the Hot 100.

‘Uneasy Rider’ by Charlie Daniels – Classic Hit or Miss

"Uneasy Rider" is a 1973 song written and performed by American singer and multi-instrumentalist Charlie Daniels. It consists of a narrative that is spoken rather than sung over a guitar melody and is sometimes considered a novelty song. It was released as a single and appeared on Daniels' album Honey in the Rock which is also sometimes known as Uneasy Rider.

‘Dead Skunk in the Middle of the Road’ by Loudon Wainwright III

The song is musically a simple folk song based on acoustic guitar, but accompanied by drums and strings. The lyrics, which literally interpreted describe a dead skunk in the middle of a busy road and the smell it produces for pedestrians, have often been seen as an attack on then-president Richard M. Nixon. Wainwright himself has never confirmed or denied this claim, but has said the song was an accident written in fifteen minutes.
