I Grew up Petoskey Michigan... and for the last 13 years - have made Grand Rapids my home. I love it here, and  the people are great too. I started in Radio as as a teenager, and going on my 14th year in radio in West Michigan!   I've lived in all four "Quadrants" of Grand Rapids, but now reside on the West Side with my Dog, two cats, 13 pinball machines and my grand piano.  Love hockey, football, auto racing, playing the piano, singing, live music, theater and being outdoors - and love exploring West Michigan and new places.    I'm THRILLED to be on Classic Hits 98-7 from 10-3 Every day.   Drop me a line anytime!

"Drivin' My Life Away" is a the title of a song co-written and recorded by American country music artist Eddie Rabbitt. It was released in June 1980 as the first single from his album Horizon. It reached number one on the Hot Country Singles in 1980, and peaked at No. 5 on the Billboard Hot 100. The song, a look into the life of the roadies and the long periods of time they spend away from home, was featured on the soundtrack of the 1980 movie Roadie starring Meat Loaf and Art Carney.

The song was sung from the perspective of a woman who has just broken up with her boyfriend and is debating attending a party two doors down the hall from her apartment. She decides to go, meets a new man and returns with him to her own apartment "two doors down".

‘The Closer You Get’ by Alabama – Classic Hit or Miss

"The Closer You Get" was written in 1980 by J.P. Pennington and Mark Gray, members of Exile. However, the song was not immediately recorded by Alabama.
