‘I Was Made for Lovin’ You’ by Kiss – Classic Hit or Miss

"I Was Made for Lovin' You" draws heavily from the disco style that was popular in late-1970s United States. Paul Stanley, who co-wrote the song with Desmond Child and Vini Poncia, has stated that it was a conscious effort on his part to prove how easy it was to write and record a hit disco song. Stanley plays bass guitar in addition to rhythm guitar.

‘Gone Too Far’ by England Dan and John Ford Coley

The duo began while they were friends and classmates at W. W. Samuell High School in Dallas, Texas. Seals and Coley performed first as part of Dallas pop/psych group Southwest F.O.B. (Freight on Board), whose material has been re-released on CD by the Sundazed label. Seals was the younger brother of Jim Seals of the 1970s soft rock duo Seals and Crofts. Dan's childhood nickname was "England Dan" because he was a fan of English rock band The Beatles, and he occasionally adopted an affected English accent. John Colley's last name was re-spelled "Coley" for ease of pronunciation; "Ford" was added as his middle name for flow purposes, thus England Dan and John Ford Coley.

‘Hey Deanie’ by Shaun Cassidy – Classic Hit or Miss

"Hey Deanie" is a popular song by Shaun Cassidy that was released the last week of November, 1977 from his album, Born Late. It was his third and final top 10 hit, peaked at number seven for two weeks on the Billboard Hot 100, spending four months on the chart from late 1977 to early 1978. As with Cassidy's prior singles, this song also became a gold record. The song was written by Eric Carmen. "Hey Deanie" was the second hit written by Carmen for Cassidy, the first being "That's Rock 'n' Roll," from Cassidy's previous album. Both songs charted concurrently with Carmen's own hit, "She Did It". Carmen recorded "Hey Deanie" himself for his 1978 album, Change of Heart, and it was also featured as the B side of the title track's 45 RPM release, which became a Top 20 hit.

We Lost Funny Lady Marcia Wallace This Past Weekend [VIDEO]

I always really like Marcia Wallace. Very funny and classy lady. I got to see her speak several years back and she was funny and great as she was battling breast cancer. We remember Marcia of course from the Bob Newhart show, but her resume is very impressive. Did you know she actually started out on the Brady Bunch? RIP Marcia. Thanks for the laughs!

‘When Will I Be Loved’ by Linda Ronstadt – Classic Hit or Miss

"When Will I Be Loved" is a classic popular song, written by Phil Everly of the Everly Brothers and a No. 8 hit single for that duo in the summer of 1960. The track had been recorded in 1959 while the Everly Brothers were contracted to Cadence Records; by 1960 they had moved to Warner Brothers and recording in a more mainstream pop/rock style than previously. The belated release by Cadence of "When Will I Be Loved" provided the Everly Brothers with a final rockabilly-style hit.
