I Grew up Petoskey Michigan... and for the last 13 years - have made Grand Rapids my home. I love it here, and  the people are great too. I started in Radio as as a teenager, and going on my 14th year in radio in West Michigan!   I've lived in all four "Quadrants" of Grand Rapids, but now reside on the West Side with my Dog, two cats, 13 pinball machines and my grand piano.  Love hockey, football, auto racing, playing the piano, singing, live music, theater and being outdoors - and love exploring West Michigan and new places.    I'm THRILLED to be on Classic Hits 98-7 from 10-3 Every day.   Drop me a line anytime!

‘Cherish’ by Kool and the Gang – Classic Hit or Miss

"Cherish" is the title of a 1985 single by American R&B band Kool & the Gang. The song was the third single released from the band's multi-platinum album, Emergency, which came out earlier in the year. The song is a romantic ballad that proved to be extremely popular when it was released and has since been a wedding song staple of sorts. "Cherish" peaked at number two on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in September 1985, remaining in the runner-up position for three weeks, behind "Money for Nothing" by Dire Straits.

‘Eyes Without a Face’ by Bill Idol – Classic Hit or Miss

Released on May 29, 1984, this was the second single from the Rebel Yell album. It was very successful and reached a high of #4 on the Billboard Charts, becoming Idol's first Top 10 hit in the U.S.  In the liner notes for the Expanded Edition of Rebel Yell, Billy Idol notes that this song was one of the first three written for the album (the other two being the title track and "(Do Not) Stand In The Shadows.") The original track was recorded in Studio A at Electric Lady Studios in New York, with a Linn drum machine and the bass parts played by Steve Webster.

‘Ill Tumble 4 Ya’ by Culture Club – Classic Hit or Miss

"I'll Tumble 4 Ya" was a hit single from Culture Club's Platinum-plus debut album Kissing to Be Clever. The single was released only in North America, peaking at number nine in both the U.S. and Canada. With this single, in America, Culture Club was the first band to have three Top 10 singles from a debut album since The Beatles. Much like the group's two prior American hits, this song was aided by a hugely popular MTV music video.
