The Ford Motor Company mixed old with new by displaying the oldest surviving Ford Motor Company car in the world in the entrance to their display area. The car is one of the first three Model A's ever built. The other two original Model A's are no longer in existence.

BMW Unveils Three New Concept Cars — Detroit Auto Show 2013
BMW made a huge splash at the 2013 Detroit International Auto Show with the unveiling of not one, not two, but three concept cars for the future. The first, and most futuristic looking, is the BMW i8 Concept. Secondly they introduced an electric car concept, the BMW i3 Electric Coupe Concept. And finally they showed off their BMW 4 Series Concept.

Tesla’s Model S Features Fully Digital Control Surfaces — 2013 Detroit Auto Show
Tesla Motors unveiled the first car to include a 17-inch touch screen control surface. The Model S uses touch screen technology to give you a functional display mounted in the dashboard. The screen can be used for simple functions like Google Maps, climate control functions, radio, etc. The touch display also can be used for tasks that requires an Internet connection (Tesla offers a year free of 3G connection through an unnamed service provider.)
