Maybe this is true or maybe not, but reports are swirling out there that Axl Rose was late for a concert back in 1991 because he was watching “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2: The Secret of the Ooze.”

Because, if you’re going to keep tens of thousands of fans waiting, it better be for a good reason.

Of course, back in the day, Axl has a reputation for being late to concerts and the story that’s floated around suggests that -- on that fateful night in 1991, Axl’s attention was 100% on the movie and he couldn’t be bothered.

There’s really got to be nothing better than being a rock star. If you’re responsible, show up on time and take care of your business, you’re frowned upon. You pull a punk move like this, you’re celebrated.

Of course, dude wasn’t watching “The Godfather,” “Citizen Kane” or “Casablanca.”

It was “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2: The Secret of the Ooze.” Classic.

One can only picture Slash telling Axl that showtime was approaching, only to have Axl snap back that the Vanilla Ice dance part was just starting. (See Below)

What it must have been like to work with this guy. The other members of Guns and Roses weren’t choirboys, but how in the world did they put up with this? No lead singer = no band. They knew it -- and it must have sucked.
