A memorial service for B. B. King was held in Las Vegas Saturday, where the late blues legend was given a standing ovation by those in attendance, including 20 of the guitarist’s 35 grandchildren, rocker Richie Sambora and Carlos Santana.

But the talk of a murder investigation overshadowed the celebration of his life.
"B.B. was energetic, Amen?" Pastor Pamela Myrtis Mason said to the more than 350 to the Palm Mortuary chapel. "Amen," they replied.

King’s casket remained closed during the service, surrounded by floral arrangements, two of his guitars and a tapestry of him playing his instrument. King’s granddaughter Landra Williams called the legend "the backbone of our family King,” adding, "To everyone else, he was a legend but for us, he was love."

Another King memorial is set for Wednesday on Beale Street in Memphis, before his body is taken to Indianola, Mississippi, where he will be buried May 30th.

Two of King's daughters, Patty King and Karen Williams, have filed court documents claiming their father was poisoned to death by his manager LaVerne Toney and his assistant. This isn't the first time they've made accusations against Toney, who is executor of King's estate. In the past they accused him of elder abuse against King, and claimed he stole at lest $20-million from the guitarist.

An autopsy on King was performed over the weekend. Results are not expected back for at least two months. Las Vegas homicide detectives early toady announced they would not be looking any further into the matter, saying it appears king was well cared for.
