Billy Joel's residency at New York City's Madison Square Garden has been going on for what seems like years now but he is still finding ways to surprise his audience.

At his show on Wednesday, Joel brought out Steve Miller for a rendition of his iconic song, "The Joker." Then, John Mayer came out to lend his guitar skills to "This is The Time," “You May Be Right," and Cream and Eric Clapton's arrangement of “Crossroads."

As if that weren't enough, Joel celebrated the current hometown heroes, the New York Mets, who are on their way to the World Series. The piano man played the team's theme song, "Meet the Mets." Check out fan shot footage of the performance.
