Blue Dog Tavern Claims 2017 Grandwich Title

The best new sandwich in Grand Rapids is the Juicy Johnny, a loving tribute to the West Side dreamed up by the chefs at the Blue Dog Tavern.

The 2017 Grandwich competition is over, but many of the sandwiches will still be available at their respective restaurants.

The winner this year was the West Side Juicy Johnny from the Blue Dog Tavern, which pays tribute to the bar's Polish roots by featuring kielbasa and a homemade pierogi from the beloved Polish Girl catering.

The Blue Dog Tavern is located at 638 Stocking Ave NW and the sandwich will run you 13 bucks, but it's worth every penny, trust me.
