Bob Seger to Be Honored as a ‘Legend of Live’

After 50 plus years, what's left for Bob Seger to achieve? How about to become a bonafide legend?

Billboard is set to honor the rocker as a "Legend of Live" at the 12th annual Billboard Touring Conference & Awards held in New York City in November. The honor is meant to celebrate musicians who "have had significant and lasting impact on the touring industry." Something Seger has done in spades.

"Bob Seger is one of the most enduring live acts of all time and we are thrilled to honor him as our 2015 Legend of Live," said Ray Waddell, executive director, content and programming for Touring & Live Entertainment at Billboard. "While he has written and recorded some of the most beloved songs in rock history, Mr. Seger spent years grinding it out in the Midwest before he exploded into the national consciousness with one of the greatest live albums ever in 1975's 'Live Bullet.' He has been packing arenas ever since, right through his triumphant 2014-2015 Ride Out tour and is a true Legend of Live."
