Gilda's LaughFest loves laughs and world records.

So, the Grand Rapids comedy festival might need to book this guy for next year.

Knowing about LaughFest's tradition of world record breaking, I decided to search for records involving the most jokes. I found one.

Clive Greenaway set the mark for the most jokes told in one minute this past summer at an event at the Arts Centre in Suffolk, England.

He told 26 one-liners in one minute.

While the record seems legit, the speed of the event makes it hard to laugh at any of them.

Greenaway has worked as a professional comedy magician for over 20 years, overcoming speech difficulties in childhood.

"I am delighted with my record," Clive told the Daily Telegraph following his feat.
"There was a lot of training that went into it. After I wrote down 30 jokes it took me months to practice them and get them word perfect and build up my delivery speed.
"I didn't speed up towards the end, I started flat out and kept that pace up. I probably left a gap of a 400th-of-a-second for the audience to react before I started the next joke."
"They had to be short jokes that had to have a trigger line and a punch line to them."
In case you miss them, here are a few of his one liners:
My wife dresses to kill –- and cooks the same way
My wife and I haven’t spoken in years –- I don’t like to interrupt
I ate a ploughman’s lunch –- he was not happy
Went to the paper shop –- but it had blown away
