In 1974, football players at Cadillac High School in Northern Michigan listened to music by KISS to get fired up before games. They won seven straight.

Their assistant coach, Jim Neff, contacted the band about it and the following year asked if they could come to Homecoming in 1975.

The events of that wacky, weird afternoon were recently celebrated forty years later.

“It brought the high school together,” then principal John Laurent told the Northern Express. “For years, we had been trying to unite the student body and our faculty. Kiss accomplished that in one night. It’s also unlikely the impact the band had on Cadillac will ever be repeated.”

The band feels the same way, recording a video that was shown at the recent reunion, which occurred on the same day, October 9, as the original appearance by the rock band in Cadillac. A monument commemorating the event was dedicated and the Homecmoing parade was recreated.

A KISS tribute band performed and residents who were there, as well as KISS fans from all over the US showed up at the event, which has been documented in the following video.

The original story of the band's journey to Cadillac can be seen here.

There were plans afoot to make a full length feature film about the event, but those have been tabled for the time being.
