The bear roaming the woods in Cascade Township is apparently quite curious about the media attention his presence has caused.

During a live report on FOX 17 last night, the bear made an unscheduled appearance. Unfortunately, he didn't consent to an interview.

FOX 17's Doug Reardon was on the scene last night in Cascade Township, and when the anchors kicked it to him, he had an exclusive: the bear was staring at him from the woods as if to say 'What's the big deal?'

The bear has been spotted near Kraft and 33rd in Cascade Township. Department of Natural Resources officials remind people not to approach the bear if you come across him, and for the love of God, don't feed the bear.

As the DNR's Jordyn Richardson seems to think the bear may just be on vacation.

"We do have bears traveling south every year and they normally will just make their way back north," she told MLive.com yesterday.

Most experts think the bear will move on of its own accord eventually.
