It's Never Too Early For ArtPrize!

The next installment of ArtPrize won't be for at least another 8 months, but that hasn't stopped the World's Largest Art Contest's organizers to start planning for this year and the future of the critically acclaimed art show. ArtPrize 2013 will be from September 18 to October 6. Artist registration for 2013 begins on April 22. Venue registration begins March 11.

Yes, Artprize is over. The last of the installments in the B.O.B. parking lot have been taken down. Sure the Gerald Ford graffiti picture actually ON the B.O.B. will still be there long after the competition has ended, but Downtown Grand Rapids has gotten back to normal. So if you have been wrapped up in the World's Largest Art competition, here's something you might have missed in the past three weeks.

Is The Gerald Ford Graffiti Artist Back?

As I was making my way downtown Sunday, I drove past the BOB and saw something that looked familar. Perhaps you remember back in April when graffiti of former President Gerald Ford appeared on I-196. "I am indebted to no man" was stenciled above a black and white picture of Michigan's only president. Well it seems the Pres is back, this time with the first lady.
