Don’t want to fight the crowds at the malls to see Santa? Bring your kids to the Rockford Rotary Pavilion from 6 to 8 p.m. and enjoy some time with Santa. All good girls and boys can crawl on his lap and give him their wish list. It is a great way to let him know all about what is wanted in a quieter and relaxed setting. On December 12th Santa will also have his reindeer with him so that the children can check out the beautiful way he motors his sleigh.
December 12, 2012 Thursday the "Meijer 12 Days of Giveaway's" continue and you can win a Furby! The critter with a mind of it's own. These are great and kids LOVE them. Tune in to win about 8:30 with Andy and Dave...you will need to know the secret "a mind of it's own" though if you are the correct caller.

No matter what the holiday, we always love getting extra festive. It's not like we need an excuse to wear awful Christmas sweaters or take part in a harmless snowman prank, but doing that stuff during the season makes us look a little less crazy. The season also provides the perfect excuse to go way overboard in the decorating department.
Here's a nice UPS man singing a Christmas song about how he's basically a modern-day Santa. He actually makes a good point. Plus, he can sing. Our favorite part is at the end when he offers up the disclaimer that he wasn't slacking on the job, since he's on a scheduled break. It makes us want to order so many packages online,

While these few weeks are filled with tons of cheer, it's also the sappiest time of year, especially in the good ol' USA. December 3, 2012 Technology has taken over our lives. Today is the 29th anniversary of the first text message sent to a cell phone. We now send about 4 billion text messages every day in the US. That's over 140 billion texts every year. This morning, when I sat down to eat a bowl of Lucky Charms, what was the ad I saw on Yahoo...of course, it was for Lucky Charms. They even know what cereal I'm eating before I even eat it!
