‘Queen Extravaganza’ Makes U.S. Debut in Detroit
Roger Taylor’s vision has come to life as the ‘Queen Extravaganza’ opened Thursday night (May 31) at Detroit’s Fox Theater. The drummer set out last year to put together a production of musicians that could pull off the Queen catalog with the idea that it would keep the aging band’s legacy alive for future generations.

BREAKING NEWS: Van Halen Cancels Last Leg Of Tour Including Grand Rapids, Detroit.
Van Halen has cancelled the last part of their North American tour, including shows in Detroit and at Van Andel here in Grand Rapids. No word on refunds, or why the tour has been halted after the June 26th show in New Orleans. Pollstar.com reports "Individual market announcements regarding postponements began today. Newspapers in Salt Lake City and El Paso reported that promoters didn’t offer explanations for the bad news."

Diamond Dave and the Van Halen boys are heading back to town! Just announced that Van Halen will make stops in Detroit and Grand Rapids on the next leg of their "A Different Kind of Truth" Tour! July 19 at Joe Louis Arena and July 26th at Van Andel! That's another good show coming to GR! Between Wingstock, Rock the Rapids, the Allegan County Fair shows and now VH, we are seeing some good concerts in the area!

Meijer Gardens Announce 2012 Summer Concert Series!
You KNOW it's spring now! The Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park announces its 10th Outdoor Summer Concert Series! Great acts like the B-52's, Grand Rapids' own Al Green, Fiona Apple, Bonnie Raitt, Melissa Etheridge, Emmylou Harris and former Interlochen music student Rufus Wainwright. Lyle Lovett, k.d. lang and Huey Lewis and the News are also coming back, plus Steve Miller and Foreigner hit the Meijer Gardens stage this summer!
