May 22, 2012 Today is the 20th anniversary of Johnny Carson's last "Tonight Show" Three days later, it became "Jay Leno's" Tonight show. And with the exception of about 10 months NBC has quietly forgotten about (Remember Conan O Brien? I wonder what happened to him? ;) ) Leno has been at the helm of the late night franchise ever since. I'm really a Letterman guy, always have been. But I will tune in Jay for the Headlines.
May 21, 2012 Yes the Bee Gees were one of the biggest musical acts in the 20th Century. You don't sell 200 million albums and NOT be considered one of the biggest. But Barry and Robin Gibb are iconic. I say that, because both have been imitated on Saturday Night Live. For Jimmy Fallon and Justin Timberlake to mimic the disco stars on the iconic latenight TV show, that's something if you ask me. Have YOU been made fun of on SNL? I haven't either.

May 9, 2012 Growing up, one of those indelible images I have is the "Elvis seen in Kalamazoo Burger King" story in the Weekly World News. You remember THE supermarket tabloid. The National Enquirer might have had more publicity for taking on celebs, but NO paper could top the Weekly World News for sheer "Hey Martha" factor. "Hey Martha" is the phrase the tabloids use to determine if a story will get people to buy the paper. "Hey Martha, look at that three headed boy on the cover, I have to see if that's true".
A gentleman on Craigslist is looking for someone who can really dangle some bacon. When I first heard this story, my mind went straight to the gutter-- I mean, 'dangle bacon'? C'mon. If that isn't sexual innuendo, I don't know what is. However, I was mistaken. Turns out the Craigslist poster is actually looking for someone to help him work out...Yep. Think of the whole carrot on a stick idea-- this guy is hoping the delicious breakfast meat will help get him to the gym.
April 27, 2012 According to Dennis Leary, now that Dick Clark is dead, Casey Kasem is "now reveling in his status as last and reigning king of leather faced syrup voiced lizard people”. And he's also 80 years old! What better way to celebrate his birthday by giving you the good and the bad of Casey! Casey has Michigan ties, he was born in Detroit, went to Wayne State, and got his start in radio in Flint.
April 25, 2012 I'm pretty sure I have seen this frog before. Didn't he used to be the mascot for the WB? Here's about the coolest thing you will see. This frog is just hangin...maxin and relaxin'...if he had a little frog buddy, or a toad, he'd be shootin' the breeze with him.

April 23, 2012 Yes it's true. Today is Nose Picking Day. Come On, you have all picked your nose. And probably in public. AND probably have been caught too. You know it's a real day AND something worthwhile when there's a TV show with an episode devoted to it. Jerry Seinfeld was the master of the subtle pick. Really.
April 20, 2012 So it's pretty obvious Dennis Leary likes making jokes that might be a little too soon. Leary made a tweet last night about the passing of Dick Clark. Most celebs did. From music stars, to TV stars, even Joan Rivers (Joan Rivers?) tweeted about the TV and entertainment icons death. Then there was Leary.
April 12, 2012 I'm not missing this day like I did "National Cleavage Day" last week! Happy National Grilled Cheese Day! It's the day we celebrate 2 pieces of grilled and buttery bread with melted gooey cheese in the middle! It's a cheap and tasty lunch, and pared with some tomato soup and a glass of ice cold milk it really satisfies! Yum...is it lunch time yet?
