March 1, 2012 Matt Hendricks broke the news Wednesday Afternoon. Davy Jones from the Monkees dies of a heart attack at 66. I remember being a huge Monkees freak when I was elementary school. I remember running home and watching them on channel 41 in Battle Creek. Then loved 'em all over again in the 80's when they came back. The other Monkees reached out and gave their condolences. Even the Anti-Monkee Mike Nesmith.

The special-edition set, which includes a CD and DVD of a concert from earlier this year, plus a book, is selling for at least $225 in the US and more than $300 in England , a price which the singer says "appears to be either a misprint or a satire. Halloween costume shopping this week has really put me in the mood for the holiday. While I do like the dressing up and celebrating part to Halloween, I'm not the hugest fan of the scary part-- horror movies, haunted houses, ghost stories. Hey, I'm kind of a wuss, OK? However, there is some fun to being just a little creeped out. The vids in Billboard's 15 Scariest Music Videos Ever list are definitely in the creepy category. I'll admit it, I'm a Gene Simmons fan. My mother doesn't understand this: "Janna, he's a disgusting womanizer. And what about that hair?" She is right on both accounts, but for some reason I still find him charming. Well, as a womanizer, of course charm would be one of his strong points. I don't even really like KISS, I just really really like reality TV and will absolutely get down on a "Gene Simmons' Family Jewels" marathon on AE. So, I'm pretty glad to hear news that Gene and Shannon finally got hitched!
