R & B Ground Breaker Percy Sledge Dies At Age 74 [Video]

Percy Sledge was a hospital orderly when he cut a song he had written with some guys he knew in Muscle Shoals, Alabama. None of their lives would ever be the same.

Sledge went on to define the Southern Soul sound of the late '60s and early '70s.

Percy, who's biggest hit was 'When A Man Loves A Woman' died yesterday at his home in Baton Rouge, LA. He was 74.

Wisconsin Students’ Colossal Rice Krispies Treat

Five-and-a-half tons. That’s how heavy a Rice Krispies treat weighed that students at the University of Wisconsin-Madison made in hopes of getting it into the Guinness Book of World Records. The treat was created on a dare.

It measures 10 feet by 10 feet, stands six-and-a-half feet tall, and weighs more than 11 thousand pounds, according to Cream City Scale of Madison, which weighed the delightfully heavy treat.
