Between the NFL Lockout and Kris Draper retiring, it could be Sports Radio WFGR! But probably not! The big news--the NFL Lockout is over! The players are smart, they have a tiny bit of leverage in negotiating with the owners, and they took advantage of it.
Random thoughts from a silly DJ with too much time on his hands...
-Amy Winehouse died. Was anyone really surprised? I said on Facebook over the weekend.."such a waste...but not too surprised...and even though she died at the same age as Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendryx, Jim Morrison, Kurt Cobain and Brian Jones...really not in that same "musical icon" union...one song, some Grammys, and a handful of pills is not an icon make" So young. So talented...

Two Dumb Blondes
A blonde woman is driving down the road when she sees another blonde...in a rowboat...in the middle of a field, rowing like crazy.

Ya know it was kinda hot over the weekend. I went to the Whitecaps game Saturday night (as it appeared about 30 of my co-workers and Facebook friends went as well) but other than that, I stayed cool in my little cave (I live in a basement apartment) and watched TV. Alot of TV.
Here's some of the highlights...
After 33 days of testimony, Casey Marie Anthony has been found "Not Guilty" of murdering her two year old daughter Caylee. She could walk free as early as tomorrow. Was justice served?
Yesterday was the Nathan's Annual 4th of July Hot Dog eating contest, won again by Joey Chestnut (See Matt Hendricks story below). To celebrate I had hot dogs for lunch as well. And just in time for summer, Revue Magazine has their "Top 5 Hot Dogs" in Grand Rapids!
So I went to the Whitecaps game last night at 5th 3rd Ballpark (Shameless plug-The Caps are home all weekend with fun stuff going on each night, including fireworks Saturday...784-4131 or whitecapsbaseball.com for tickets!)
