August 5, 2012 Yes, I know, funnest really isn't a word. But as far as Olympic Games go, these are the ones I think have the most personality. The image I remember from most Olympics is a serious, staid sporting competition between athletes who had been training all their lives for this one event. Gruff, overbearing old men coaches who look like they will kill if you don't land that throw or stick that landing.
August 3, 2012 Players get ejected from sporting events all the time. The basketball player with too many fouls, the baseball player who argues a call against him, or the football player who kicks another player on the ground. All of these actions can get you removed from the game. Now a ballpark DJ in the minor leagues can say that he, too, has been ejected!

Then they cancel one of their best performing shows (Harry's Law) And let's not even get me started about WHITNEY. Now the Olympics are here, what could go wrong with that?
July 30, 2012 Power Shopping. Window Washing. Crab Catching. OK I made those up, but there are some odd "sports" that have been a part of the Olympics in the past. Like Club swinging and Tug of War. Really. Tug of War. That would be something for TV these days. Much like the "World's Strongest Man" shows on ESPN, maybe Tug of War WOULD be kinda fun.

July 28, 2012 It's not because I don't want the USA to win and do well. Of course I do. Maybe I'm just getting older, but the Olympics used to be more fun when there was a real bad guy. Remember when the Olympics were like WWE wrestling? There was a good guy (Hulk Hogan) and a bad guy (Andre the Giant, god rest his soul) and then there were the bad guys who became good guys (Randy 'Macho Man' Savage' god rest HIS soul).
