When we think of fall, several things come immediately to mind -- cooling temperatures, turning leaves, costumes, candy and turkey dinner. But nothing evokes the season more than pumpkin pie, especially with a generous dollop of waist-expanding whipped cream. With its velvety texture and rich flavor, what's not to love?

Bud Stringer walked into a barber shop recently with a noble goal. His wife of twenty years, Dolly, was losing her hair due to the chemotherapy she had to take for breast cancer, and Bud wanted to show support by shaving his head as well.

In retrospect, Patrick Gallagher and his buddies probably should have just celebrated his impending nuptials with a quiet night of poker, maybe a cigar. But instead they took the bachelor party to the strip club, where the groom-to-be suffered an injury as embarrassing as it is painful.
Gallagher was pulled up on the stage at the Penthouse Club in Port Richmond, Pennsylvania to get the full-on bachelor treatment. Included in the festivities was a stripper pole, and when one of the girls "shimmied" down the rod and launched herself into Gallagher's lap, his bladder ruptured.
The last we'd heard of Petoskey Batman (Harbor Springs man, Mark Wayne Williams), he was auctioning off his Batman suit to cover the legal fees he acquired after his arrest for scaling a building in downtown Petoskey. Apparently the Ebay route isn't working out for him. That, or the lure or crime fighting is just too strong, because Petoskey Batman has been busted again. State troopers arrested the 33-year-old Saturday night after he refused to leave a crime scene. He was wearing the Batman suit, of course.
