With wet, cool and windy weather conditions… The 34th annual Fifth Third River Bank Run was a huge success. The 25K race is the largest in the country. And even though there were almost a thousand fewer runners in this year’s event, it was still a huge success!
Easily the biggest weekend in Grand Rapids and West Michigan--event wise--so far this year is THIS one! 5th 3rd River Bank Run, Tulip Time wrapping up in Holland and The Lip Dub Sunday Downtown...add in the Gus Macker basketball tourney and the Wicked Diva's, and this is going to big one!
This is a pretty inspiring story actually. The 5/3rd riverbank run is this weekend, and several people who consider themselves homeless will compete in the 10K.
Everyone has had some tough points in their lives, and what a great way for everyone involved to be a part of a great event for West Michigan.
This kid is pretty bright. Actually, looks like he put some time into this video as well.
This took place my in hometown of Petoskey! I wish I could have seen this!
What a great time to be a Michigan hockey fan! Of the 8 Pro, Minor and Junior league hockey championships going on right now, 3 have Michigan ties.
There's a viral video online of a TV station in Los Angeles doing a demonstration of the Shake Weight. You have to have seen the Shake Weight--the little dumbell-shaped "exercise aid" that you shake...and it looks like, well....you know. Especially when it's used by a female.
Here's the bi-weekly Tweet I get from Meijer...what a shock! Gas is going up again!
Is this guy crazy... or cool? A Freemont man is getting ready for a 9,300-mile tractor ride through 48 states to raise money for charity!
Say it isn't so? One of my favorite Childhood candies has been banned at a Forest Hills School district.
It may not be for the reason you think, though.
As the national average for gas hit the highest level since 2008 at $4.11 (the national average), we were paying $4.29 a gallon across West Michigan last week. There seems to be some relief in sight… at least in the short term.
