CMU Alumnus Antonio Brown Involved In NFL Opening Day’s Best Play [Video]
Punters get no respect in the NFL. Seriously. Everybody craps on them.
Exhibit A: former Central Michigan University wide receiver Antonio Brown, currently with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Brown tried to hurdle Cleveland Browns punter Spencer Lanning during a return in the second quarter of last night’s game -- and that didn't work out so well for either of them. Lanning took a pretty hard kick to the face. Next time it’s probably best to get out of the way, yeah?
It earned Brown a 15-yard-penalty for unnecessary roughness, but he earned so much more in respect from fans.
Brown talked about the kick after the game: “No intent to hurt him. I had my mind made up that he was going over me. I thought he was going low and I tried to leap over him. It was just a bad outcome of a play.”
The play has already become the delight of hilarious Internet memesters, who have mixed it in with clips from "The Karate Kid".
