From the "they really needed to make a sequel of THIS?" file, David Spade has resurfaced after his 6 year run on "Rules of Engagement". Someone in Hollywood, AKA "The Land Of no more Original Ideas" must have said "Hey, let's make a 'Joe Dirt sequel!"

Then they decided to. 13 years after the original. The country has been clamoring for a JD2 much like we need a "Porky's 4" and "Close Encounters for the Third Time" Really.

""Joe Dirt" and his glorious mullet are back ... and David Spade took a selfie to prove his classic 'do will be front and center for the new flick. You may recall ... the 2001 film ended with Dirt's mullet being replaced with dreadlocks -- but it looks like that's all changed for the new movie set to debut next year on Crackle.
