It is a community-based agency providing programs in Western Michigan, and offering a variety of services ranging from prevention and education to crisis intervention.

Throughout December, they offer many opportunities to remember the true spirit of the season and the joy of giving.

The first way to give back to the community is through Catholic Charities West Michigan's annual toy drive.

Catholic Charities West Michigan is seeking donations of new, unwrapped toys and gift cards to ensure that all children it serves will have presents to unwrap on Christmas morning.
The social services organization, which annually serves more than 1,000 children, is looking for gifts for infants through teens.  This year, CCWM is most in need of gift cards, but is also looking for games, puzzles, and learning toys like Legos.

Beginning December 8, toys can be dropped off at CCWM locations at 40 Jefferson Ave. SE in downtown Grand Rapids and at 1095 Third St. in downtown Muskegon.  Gifts will be accepted from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. The drive ends December 15.
The second way to help out is by volunteering and supporting God's Kitchen.

God's Kitchen is part of CCWM's Community Outreach Program that supports West Michigan families in times of need by offering meal programs, food pantries and a baby pantry.
Located in the Heartside neighborhood of downtown Grand Rapids, God's Kitchen provides a daily hot lunch to those in need.  Its Home Delivered meals program provides meals to disabled residents throughout the greater Grand Rapids area. Its Suburban Outreach Ministry provides ready-to-serve meals through area churches.
And last but not least, its Infant and Toddler Pantry provides diapers, wipes, clothing and other baby products to those in need.  Gods Kitchen relies heavily on donations and volunteers.
