East Grand Rapids High School Evacuated Due To Suspicious Package

A suspicious package has closed an East Grand Rapids school building for the day.

Police and fire crews are currently at East Grand Rapids High School where building is closed, athletic practices for the day have been canceled or moved to other locations, and the pool is also closed.

A text was sent to parents of students at EGR High shortly after 11:00am that read:

@egrpsupdates: EGR High School is closed today 8/15/14. If your child has a practice or event-please contact their coach or supervisor for further info.
