Elton John has been known to lose his temper now and again, and that’s exactly what happened during a concert at Kingsholm Stadium in Gloucester, England Sunday night. Elton was in the middle of his performance when he noticed an usher telling people in the audience to sit down and put their hands down, which infuriated him.

“I came here to play music, now all you stewards down there, especially the woman in the pony tail, f****** lighten up will you?,” he screamed, aiming his fury at one female usher in the audience. “These people have come to hear music and if they want to put their hands in the air let them. This is not f****** China, so p*** off. You've got a f***** uniform on and you think you're Hitler and you're not."

The object of Elton’s tirade reportedly ran off crying, and the singer eventually saw the error of his ways, and decided to say he was sorry. “I do apologize,” he said. Whoever told the stewards to do that, it's their f****** fault and not hers and I apologize profusely." He then brought the girl in question to the stage, had her sit down next to him and gave her a kiss on the cheek, telling her, “It was highly inappropriate. I got frustrated. I know no one should ever talk to a lady like that and I'm very sorry.” He then sung "Yellow Brick Road" as she sat next to him.
