Additional Information

The American Heart Association's Grand Rapids Heart Ball will be held Tuesday, November 4th at the Thousand Oaks Country Club.

We will be celebrating: our work and mission; our donors and volunteers; and — most importantly — the lives saved and improved because of everyone’s effort.

In the past five years, 2009-2013, the American Heart Association has funded 132 studies at six Michigan institutions at a cost over $16 million. Through research and education we are making lifesaving advances.

Every day we are working to make West Michigan a healthy community, improve your family's health, ensure quality health care, deliver emotional support to patients and find ways to end heart disease and stroke.

Mariell Jessup, MD, President of the American Heart Association, will be featured.

Dr. Richard McNamara, Chief of Cardiology, Spectrum Health and co-interim medical director, Frederik Meijer Heart & Vascular Institute, will be the recipient of the Richard M. DeVos Award at the 2014 event for his many contributions to improve heart health of West Michigan residents.

Registration and reception begin at 5:30pm.The dinner and program will begin at 7:00 pm.

We greatly appreciate all of the support that we have received throughout the years for auction donations and sponsorship of this celebration event.
