Now this is getting ridiculous.

A production company in Hollywood is actually making a movie based on the 1980s video game Tetris.

For those of you who may not remember, Tetris was a floating puzzle-piece game that Nintendo made famous with the Game Boy -- which had like a four-inch screen.

What makes the idea of the game being a movie such a head-scratcher is that the game has no characters. No zombies, spies, pirates, monsters, NOTHING. It’s just blocks dropping from the top of the screen to the bottom.

Sure, it had a catchy soundtrack, but of all the games out there that haven’t been turned into a movie yet, you’d think they could have found something, anything, with a bit more adventure?

I personally loved the game Dig Dug, and THAT would make a great movie.

It had fire breathing dragon, and a guy who was armed with a giant air pump. He would pump the dragons up with air and they would blow up. And the entire battle takes place in subterranean Earth.

Excuse me, I have to go write a script.

What video game from back in the day do you have the best memories of?
