If there was a quiz about the little things in your life that make you "YOU", your friends and maybe even your spouse would lose to Facebook. Why? Because Facebook remembers EVERYTHING. Your spouse forgets everything.

A study, out of Stanford University and the University of Cambridge, had over 86,000 volunteers fill out a 100-item personality quiz, that evaluated them on traits like openness, conscientiousness, extraversion, agreeableness and neuroticism. The volunteers then gave researchers access to their Facebook page and computers analyzed data from all of their “likes” to determine personality traits. Those results were then compared to surveys given to volunteers’ family and friends regarding their personality.

In the end, the study revealed that the computer-based judgments turned out to be more accurate than the judgments made by those closest to the subjects.  “It shows that machines can get to know us better than we'd previously thought," the study’s co-author Michael Kosinski explained, adding that in the future this could lead to "emotionally-intelligent" computers.

Which, if I read between the lines, means that you might wind up falling in love with Facebook, kind of like the movie "Her". Does anyone need that?

And if that's not enough Facebookery for you -- the company released its new "Facebook At Work" app this week, as if you had any more time to waste.

Comedian Pete Holmes, who will be appearing at the this year's LaughFest had perhaps the funniest and scariest take on Facebook, give it a listen.
