Grand Rapids Public Schools offer a wide variety of experiences for students of all ages. John Hemholdt of GRPS joined "The Jojo Show" this morning to talk about this week's School Choice Expo.

This family friendly event offers GRPS students, their families, and prospective families the opportunity to learn about their school choices. Free dinner is provided. Children’s activities include face painting, balloon animals, bounce house, and arts and crafts.

Theme School and Center of Innovation applications are now available for the 2015-16 school year. The application deadline is February 27, 2015. Paperless applications are available in English and Spanish at apply.grps.org. Interested parents can also pick up paper applications at any GRPS school or the GRPS Administration Building, located at 1331 Franklin St SE.

In the interview, John talks about specific schools that offer unique learning experiences, like the Frost Environmental Academy, and the high performing City High Middle School.
