Resourceful Off-Duty Firefighter Puts Out Blaze with Beer
Here’s a life hack you probably didn’t know existed.
An off-duty firefighter in Houston put out a blaze on Monday with beer.
Craig Moreau was driving along a highway with his wife when they spotted an 18-wheeler with a burning tire.
Moreau unsuccessfully put out the inferno with a fire extinguisher, so he asked the truck driver what else he had onboard. The driver said he was hauling Coors beer, so both men began pouring cans as quickly as they could before the tire that had caught fire exploded and the flames went out.
Moreau said: "I have no doubt if the beer hadn't been there, the whole trailer would have burned up. A few more minutes down the road and it may not have worked."
Hopefully, they had some cans left over to quench the thirst they worked up.
