Firefighter Dennis Rodeman's funeral was held Wednesday at the Breslin Center in East Lansing, with hundreds of fellow firefighters, police officers, and EMT's (many from here in West Michigan) in attendance to pay their respects. The funeral was followed by a 32-mile long funeral procession to Charlotte, where Rodeman was laid to rest.

During the funeral at the Breslin Center, firefighter Rodeman's last call and final alarm were played. I wasn't at the Breslin Center, but I can imagine that this was a very powerful moment during the service.

It gives me chills just sitting here listening to it at my desk.

“Godspeed. Semper Fi. Go Blue.”

R.I.P. Dennis Rodeman.
