Everybody loves dogs! Well, most people do, and it seems that there’s one breed of pooch that is by far adored the most.

And it's a dynasty, folks. You thought the Yankees dominated baseball in the '90s? This breed has that beat by 20 years.

For the 25thconsecutive year, the American Kennel Club has named the Labrador Retriever as the most popular dog in America, making it the longest reign at number one in AKC history.

Come on, who doesn’t love a Labrador Retriever? But I'm getting tired of Labs always winning this award, sure they're great dogs, but until you've had a wheaten terrier snuggle up against you at night, you don't know how cool wheatens are. I think it's time for a change.

One dog that seems to be rising in popularity, and may be nipping at the Labrador’s paws, is the French Bulldog. The playful breed jumped up a whopping three spots to take over at number six this year, and overall has moved up 32 spots in the past decade.
